UNDER LOCK AND KEY by Sylvie Kurtz
Tyler Blackwood, a reporter whose wife died about a year ago, reluctantly accepts to protect Melissa Carnes, his boss’ niece, and finds himself locked by her on their first encounter. But Tyler, despite Melissa’s scarred face from a fire as a child and her apparent weird life, falls long and hard for her. He has to not only break through her barriers and demons, but also his own.
It was a very nice, touching story of two people with inner (and outer) scars trying to trust each other when they shouldn’t and finding love among a cast of people betraying Melissa one by one and a mysterious group bent on destroying her. Topping that are the made-up witch stories surrounding her and you get a nice suspense as well as romantic moments. Cute and enjoyable.
